Default My new motherboard

As I expected, for my birthday I got a new motherboard, a Gigabyte GA-K8NS Pro...an added bonus was that this one has 4 IDE ports so I added a 2nd (well...third actually) harddrive. Just waiting for the processor (AMD Athlon 64 2.2ghz I believe) and the memory (I'm maxing it out to 3gb)...should be good...

Thanks for the article, it helps a lot.
As for Micro$oft, it doesn't surprise me....but (unless things have changed since then) if it's only on one computer, then I shouldn't have to, a while back I moved the hard drive from my old computer to one I got from work and didn't have to buy a new license, I just called them and they reactivated it...have the rules changed?

Actually that article is recent, if Im not mistaken its from Sept 2007 so yes the "rules" have changed. Micro is now allowing the change of mobo's but only if the installed one is defective and is replaced with the exact same make/model. Its all explained in the article

Well....that sucks....anything for a few extra bucks I guess...

Just another reason for me to loathe them, unfortunately I need them so it's like that
