I remember not long ago i brought 2GB ballistix ram which cost me £250, (using it atm) now you can get it for less than £100 >.<

the latest ATI card uses DDR4 RAM. and DDR3 was only released a few months ago! (which is why DDR2 prices dropped)

RAM demand has never decreased-- that I know of.
By the time you need an upgrade-- it probably won't exist-- as it is now.

Well Windowes Vista Aero takes up quite a lot so you'd have been better with the 8 Gig even if you didnt need it all.

when I ordered it, the technician was like "hmmm...we usually only put 1GB in our systems, and you want 8?" I said "yes, I don't think anyone else has actully gotten that many GBs total." He looked rather confused for a moment, and he said "it would be a waste of money if you get the 8gigs", and I said "that's ok..I know I don't need it, but I want it."
