Well I was a AMD fan boy for so long. But they let me down.. So I went intel on my latest build

I have a core duo 6700, 2 gigs of Geil pc 8,000, 4 150 gig raptors in Raid 0, 8800 gtx 768 meg version. 1kwn pc&pc psu

I wanted to go quad core so bad but I really do not like spending over a thousand U.S on one piece of copper plated over by silver. Now I spend that much on a nice big t.v lol.. But not a cpu. But I have the 6700 oc'd stable at 3.6 ghz,,

And believe it or not I only spent 1,100 U.S on this box...

smart move avoiding the quad core by intel

It's 2x dual core on the 1 chip..it's not true quad core yet..from what i've read anyway

I buy whatever the best is at the time i buy it...but so far, I've always upgraded while amd was on top

Well i went with Intel aswell for my build geek. (check 'My PC')

Four Raptors!!!! You are lucky and an 8800gtx although i think ATi's R600 is gonna beat that.

Lol - thats what i mean't. You will even get some people who haven't really made 'use' of the 'dx10 side of the 8800' who upgrade to the r600. Unless of course they want to keep their SLi setup.

Don't know if the r600's will whomp it, might take a few poundings, I got the superclocked evg.. Your right though Direct 10 wont be used for another year probaly?

As for the 6700 ya I was not going quad. To much money. Plus I guess AMD's next line of AM2+ is going to be smoking, and compatible with the regualr AM2 boards, which I have one just in case,. Will have to see Wish I would of waited..
