Hi Gaz, all three of these dump files are corrupt. I can't see what has caused these corruptions. I'm pritty certain this is hardware, and most
BSOD's are caused by faulty
RAM, we will need to do some troubleshooting, starting from what is most likely to cause.
Check for Disk problems
Two ways of we can check for disk problems:
a) Go to
My Computer, right click on
Local Disk (c), and go to
Properties, followed by the
Tools tab. Under error checking, click
Check Now. Tick both check box's followed by
Start.
b) Use your Windows XP Setup CD, and start your PC with the CD inserted. After Windows Setup has finished loading it's initial files, you have the option to enter the recovery console, press R. Once in the recovery console, use the command
chkdsk /r
Check for RAM problems
- If you have a spare floppy disk, download and run
Download - Pre-Compiled Memtest86 v3.3 installable from Windows and DOS
- If you have Nero installed on your PC and able to burn ISO images onto CD, download, extract and burn:
Download - Memtest86 v3.3 ISO image (zip)
These tests do take quite some time, so please be patient. Let us know of the results.
