The C2D's are probably too much for my budget, although it would be nice. Still, I'll see how things go. I'm actually selling a few things to fund this build, and my parents will put the rest towards it. It all really depends on how much I can get for the items I'm getting rid of. Any ideas on how much I should ask for a Hp Pavilion a235.uk with 15" LCD Monitor, and All-In-One printer/scanner/copier, a 14" Daewoo GB14C4NTS colour televison, and a Playstation 2? I may even sell my Hi-Fi/Stereo system as well.

I know...I'm desperate.

I think that rig, topped off with a Thermaltake Soprano case, a decent PSU, can't forget the floppy, would just about do me. Although I'm still thinking about saving more money and going with a cheaper Graphics card, but I may regret it later on, not sure. Oh, I also changed the monitor, going with a 'Generic', different make, but still a 19" Widescreen. Knocked off another £20 too. (Any recommendations for a cheapish PSU?) Or perhaps a cheaper case than the Soprano that comes with a PSU?

Thanks.

You dont want to skimp on the PSU get a good make:

These are good psu+case bundles.

Antec NSK6500 Super Midi Tower Case - 430W PSU

Antec Sonata II Piano Black Quiet Case - 450W Smart Power PSU

And Antec PSUs and cases are very good quality.

Thanks mate. However, I've decided on a Thermaltake Soprano case, slightly more expensive than I wanted to spend at first, but it's too nice to resist IMO. As for a PSU, what do you think of >>THIS<< one? I could push it and try >>THIS<< one if that's any better. But my budget is almost at it's limit, and good PSU's are beyond my range for the moment. (Keep in mind that I'm basing this on a £500 budget, it may increase significantly depending on how successful I am with selling my things, I have no idea what to ask for them)

Last thing is floppy drive. I'm that'll be easy enough to find.

Ok time for another update: I've got rid of that RAM, and am thinking of replacing them with two 512MB DDR2 800 sticks (much faster I think), however I have two choices. The first model is the OCZ Platinum Revision 2, and the other is the OCZ CrossFire Certified Edition. (I don't need a CrossFire board for that to work do I?)

Both are exactly the same, the first one is only a couple of £1 cheaper than the second. I'm not sure what I'd be better going with, any ideas? I'm saving myself some money here too, so I can afford a better PSU.

Remember I'll be running two of them in Dual Channel (1GB) Maybe one of both? lol. Last thing, do you think I should go with ATI or Nvidia card? Stick with what I've got or not?

Definitely go with the Enermax over the EZ-Cool. Enermax are a very good make, but make sure you check your requirements with the PSU Calculator in my signature.

The Soprano is quite nice although i went even further and got an Armor Jr. Thermaltake make very nice cases.

Armor Jr - That case is a beauty.

Thanks for all the advice, I'll get back soon and let you know how it all works out for me.
