Drivers are terrible yes - but the image quality on an ATI is soooooo much better then nvidia....that's why i'm waiting for ATI's DX10 card....

Also....I heard that Intel weren't going to be pulling their liscence with ATI?? I know AMD are still going to make boards with nforce chipsets..

If Intel did do that - there would be a huge kerfuffel in the community.

Yup...Can't go wrong with Asus...unless...

Hehe...there is no single IT oriented company out there that you will find absolutely everyone loves...it's just not possible.

There was a few years back a real bad batch of Asus boards...they had some of the circuits backwards or somesuch (i think the rumour was a disgruntled employee) and caused quite alot of computers to fry all the parts that were connected....they recalled the motherboards after the first few times they got this.

Asus were quiet for a while after that, and I thought they actually went under - but glad they didn't.

And thanks for the link

I've had all major motherboards...and i've never had a problem with any of them - but i have received DOA when I was building computers for a living...but not as many as people make out - and we were pushing close to 500 computers a week (with 5 people).

Most instability issues are caused by static in the build - or driver related issues
