The only reason i would recommend going to Vista - is once you have a DX10 card and you play DX10 games - UT2007, Supreme Commander....that sort of thing
I'm running Vista now and there's no benefit or draw back over XP...
yea i agree about getting it if you have a dx10 video card, but i dont have one. im gonna wait until their are more of them released. we havent even seen what ati is releasing. i know its gonna be the r600 core, and i have seen some benchmarks on it from somebody that got i guess a pre-preduction model to test.
Everything?
It's only got DDR1 memory for a start - and i could get a quad core intel soon...replace the 4gb of ram with low latency ddr2 stuff....mmm...expensive...
Yeh lol. but you would also need a new Motherboard for the intel cpu. Starting to get very expensive lol. Just out of interest whilst browsing the web etc how much available ram do you have left? (must be loads!)
ok speaking of motherboards, everyone knows that amd bought out ati and i noticed on their website that their motherboards have a amd chipset stamp on them rather than say an ati xpress200 or what ever on it. even still that intel pulled ati's chipset license i would roll in the floor laughing if i saw or had a mother board for an intel processor that had a amd chipset stamp right in the middle of it.
