Default Browser Hijack

HI Guys,

I have the very same issue that you have addressed here. http://www.pchelpforum.com/fixed-hij...redirects.html

At least I don't but a family member does so I do not have the computer in front of me but I am trying to ascertain whether the fix you have (impressively) provided is within my capabilities!

First question is there an easier way to address this problem or is this my only chance?!?!?! Seems a bit complicated!

Second question: Do I need to follow all of the steps from the start or can I start from the installation of the FindAWF.exe?

Sorry if these are stupid questions but I fell confident I can follow the steps but I don't really know where to start from!

Hope this all makes sense!

Many thanks in anticipation for your help!

Hi torquesteeruk and welcome to PCHF

Whilst you may have the same symptoms as the problem in that thread, your PC may also contain other malware or infections and there is also the fact that it will be different. So that our security experts can help you on an individual basis please can you (or get your relative to) click Prework below in my signature and follow the steps to post a log. Then it will be much easier for us to help you.

Thanks,

upgrader
