My daughter has lost her password to get logged into her laptop; Please advise of any way to get pass it/change it to known password.

Hello slick, welcome to PCHF.

- Start the laptop, pressing the F8 key until you reach a windows startup screen.

- From the startup screen, select "Safe Mode".

- At the safe mode logon, type in "Administrator" as the username, and your administrator password if one was set during the initial setup. If no password was set, then leave the password blank.

- Once your in Windows, go to My Computer, Control Panel, User Accounts. Click on the account name you would like to change the password for and finally Change Password.

I did as you instructed but it did not help. I checked out the F2 Setup and the passwords have been disabled. No Administrator password. However I ended up with the "Log On to Windows" screen still asking for the password. Any other suggestions
