Wel... it appears that whatever that garbage was has run it's course.. the hammering has abated.

Anyone have a preference from the download page as to a good Firewall? This one worked, but I'd like to know if there was anyone else who got some hits and where they were from. I've got the logs saved away of what hit here if anyone wants to look at them.

I am afraid that Ol' 98 is getting to be tough
I've seen this recently...
All security products from Jetico: BestCrypt, BCWipe, Jetico Personal Firewall, BCArchive. Download it now.
98 version towards the bottom- and free.

*sigh* Yeah, I know... time for an upgrade, no doubt, just would feel more comfortable with more mem.. I don't know how Eagle gets away with running XP on only 256M Ram.. Says a lot to me about how that system is set up.. I used to (yeah right.. like I'm not now! ) push things a bit and made it work.

Thanks for the info bills.. heading there now!

Oh, btw.. I had pulled Speedfan from your sig... I like that one! Cool options in there, so thank you!

For a free anti-virus, you can run a Trend Microhousecall Free Online Scan, it catches almost everything and will remove it as well. I love it and will always recommend it. The link is in my signature.

Lol, just saw your post. I run a firewall, AV, AS, all my applications and WindowBlinds for my theme, hehe. All on 256 MB of PC133 SDRAM. Im upgrading it to 384MB this week, getting a 256 MB peice to replace the 128. I only have 2 slots or I would have 512.

Edit: You could get Windows 200 Professional, I used to have that, its great and doesn't take much resources. ust a thought.
