im wondering if theres any thing i should do i have put the windows firewall on and i have spyware software like avg adware etc... is that ok or will i need some thing like norton can anyone recomend a anti virus better than norton i dont no if there all like norton take up all the comps memory slows it right down thanks

No u can disable windows firewall
just go into control panel and disable it from there

its recomended to be on though so it ok not to have a anti virus i was looking to get mcfee but i dont no to be honest

Go to the downloads section up around the top and to the right on any page. Those are all very good, though the setup I use for all my systems is:

ZoneAlarm Firewall
AVG Antivirus
AVG Anti-Spyware
LavaSoft Ad-Aware SE Personal
Spybot: Search & Destroy

Good setup , Avast is also a good Antivirus too.

do you have them all runing as well in the tray at the bottom or do they need to be run when i want to do a scan?? also while im on what is a fire wall someone told me the window one isnt that good ?? thanks for the info
