Default SpySweeper

Ok, I know this is a paid product but it does have a 30 day trial, It is one of the best anti spywear program I have come across, you can download the 30 day trial? HERE.. When you download it make sure to update the definations, and put allof it's active shields up. This will be under the shields tab right when it opens up. When the active shieilds are all up spyware wont even be able to install itself without your permission. Not that you want it, but it will make sure you dont install anything you dont want it to.

Default Re: SpySweeper

Merlin.

I agree with your assessment of SpySweeper (wait for it) except for one problem I had.? My ISP is MSN (SpySweeper is free to MSNers) and I do not know if that is why I had the problem.

When I enabled the 'Common Ad Sites Shields' under 'Host File Shield' most of the graphic images/icons turned into the famous 'little red X' in place of the images.? It even held open (continued to try and download) a Macromedia Flash Player movie.? I disabled that one shield and all the images returned.

Funny thing though, I wrote to the MSN support team (who urge members to install SpySweeper) about the 'little red X' thingy.? The gave me their guess at a solution (twice) with no resolution to the problem.? I ended up telling them the solution I came up with, they did not respond.

Being cursious (to a fault), I was wondering if my problem was an isolated one or are there others out there with a case of the 'little red X's'? ?:lol ?:

Later Dude
