Loaded up laptop and I cant run practically any application, an error comes up telling me the configuration is wrong and to re-install the program. Even when I do this it doest work. Also loads of icons have disappeared (such as the refresh, home etc buttons at the top of IE and my start menu button has gone). I suspect a virus, any other opinions? And if its a virus what can I do as its not letting ActiveX run either so I can use online virus scanners. Tried a system restore, that didnt work either.
