Now that someone has mentioned Mcafee I thought I would jump in because I am now a converted Mcafee user.(I know I will probably be slatted for this post but hey someone has to do it)
I used to use Norton Antivirus but have found it a mission to keep up to date with them. They are constantly updating their antivirus programs, 2000,2001 --2004 e.t.c Which is a good thing YES but it just becomes so expensive and I have had a lot of problems with backward compatibily. Because if you decide not to upgrade your subsciption eventually expires and then you are unable to download automatic updates. (which is a pain)
I also used AVG for a bit, but had all sorts of problems with updates,(I know how it feels Simonl)
I have also noticed that Mcafee sometimes finds viruses that Norton doesnt detect.
But that still doesnt stop me connecting to Symantec to download any Virus removal tools, they still have the best database on the web.
