Pending: help laptop wont switch on!

evening all

im hoping someone can help me. i bought an acer notebook laptop in february, not too good with names or model numbers so have copied the name from the website:

Acer Aspire One AOA150-Bp - 1GB - 160GB - Windows - Pink - LU.S450B.013

i was browsing the internet tonight as normal when all of a sudden it just switched off and wont switch back on at all. when the charger is plugged in the charge light comes on but when i press the power button it flashes on then turns off and my charge light turns off aswell. i have opened the laptop and blew inside incase of dust and also tried the method of taking out charger and battery and holding down the power button numerous times but nothing is happening. for a laptop i have being using for less than 12 weeks i am very annoyed. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance

Does this 12 week old laptop have a warranty? If so take it back,if not i can i can open this thread,and we will see if our excellent Tech staff can help you........Thanks for your patience

Hi help12345 - Welcome to PCHF!!!

vger is right - if it's only 3mths old then I'd send it back to get repaired because if you try to repair it yourself, you will void your warranty.

Have you tried running the laptop with the battery removed and just the power connected? If it still won't start then your best option would be to get it repaired by the manufacturer.

I am having the same problem with my Acer 5738G Laptop. I started playing Burnout Paradise and in the middle of the intro video, it suddenly shuts down and no matter how many times I tried switching it on, nothing happened. I tried removing the battery and power supply and holding down the power button then turning it on.Did not work. BUT HERE IS THE BEST PART, it's been around 8 1/2 hours since I have received my laptop. It is frickin brand new.I bought it today and it was delivered to me this evening. I have no clue what to do. I am going to try to get it exchanged.
Config: Intel Core 2 Duo T6400 @ 2.0GHz,4GB DDR3 RAM,Nvidia Graphics card 512MB(I am not sure the exact model name.Something like G105),320 GB HDD.
