Hey I have a Compaq Presario V2000, I purchased the laptop in 2005. I have been having problems when turning on my computer my screen will not come on. I have checked the power cable and the battery and it is not the issue. It could be my video card? My screen has been unresponsive for the past couple of weeks and now it will not come on at all and if the screen does appear it will cut out randomly....My computer seems to be booting up normally but the screen is not responsive...Any suggestions, Thanks!

Try connecting the laptop up to a normal monitor from a PC and booting the laptop.
