PSU and Overheating Issues - Toshiba battery won't charge posted in the Hardware forums; Yes it seems to be registering the battery,now not sure if this will work as drivers were installed for origonal battery.Go to device manager and uninstall drivers for the battery ...

Yes it seems to be registering the battery,now not sure if this will work as drivers were installed for origonal battery.Go to device manager and uninstall drivers for the battery and reboot.

Do you have this laptop setup for power save mode?

Hi,

In device manager under batteries ive got :

- Microsoft AC adapter
- Microsoft ACPI compliant control method battery

...and yes it has got the Toshiba Power Saver enabled.

Try turning off the power save not sure it will help.

I've had a look but I can't find a way of turning it off.

Also noticed that when the battery is in the laptop, the charging LED does light up so it must be recognising it in some way.
