0x00000024 Tells us right away that there's a problem with your NTFS.SYS file. There are alot of causes for this. This things first, run ChkDsk. go to start, run and typ in ChkDsk. hit Enter, Use Disk clean-up and disk de fragment in Accessaries-System tools, If that doesn't work, check out this link to use some more tools to help you. heres that Link If no joy, it's in-install XP time.

Ok so as you all know I bought myself a new Power Supply as I suspected it was that causing the problem. I was indeed right now the pc is back up and running and the problem fixed. No more shutting off.

Thanks for those that tried to help.
