No when I turn it on there is no beep sound. Also even when the computer is off I see a green LED light that is ON on the motherboard (you can only see that when you open up the cpu unit)

I'm facing a big problem right now. I think I made my computer worse now because I wanted to get more dust from inside the cpu unit so I took my hair dryer and put it on high speed (its hot) and took some dust out. When I turned the computer on, there was smoke that came immediately. It was very visible. Something was burning and I could smell it. So I turned off the computer immediately (never turned it back again). What's wrong here now? I'm leaving the computer to cool.... will the burning come back if I turn the computer on tomorrow?

hi notworking,

The smoke most like will come back when you turn it on tomorrow. It's always best to use a vacuum when cleaning a pc. As you often blow the dust into parts where its really hard to remove and it can cause problems similar to what you've got now.

Where exactly is the smoke coming from. Is it coming from where plug the power lead into the back or somewhere else.

EDIT: I have merged both your threads.

I would not recommend turning the PC back until all the hardware in the PC has been closly inspected by a profesional you could cause even more damage turning it back on. Or if you are familiar with the parts inspect them and look for burnt spots also smell the back of the PSU to see if smells burnt.

Opps Diire you beat me
