I have a bit of a problem. Running xp with 512mb ram on intel celeron r at 3.06ghz
The problem is that my pc average temperature is around 50 - 55 oC and has got an option to auto shut down at 80. I got something called smart fan activated at 60 degrees
I am finding my pc is automatically turing itself off all the time so i need a way to either
a. find a way to increase the speed of my fan so it cools the pc down more or
b. get my computer running on a lower temperature (im guessing 50 is high)
Very frustrating if im installing a piece of software or running a defrag and my pc just goes dead.
Its an LGA775 board I was going to suggest changing the heatsink and fan but I do not think you would be comfortable with that? try turning the fans up in speed fan. Does it actually reach threshold and shut down or is it something else?
