Hello and welcome to PC Help Forum.

I would check all your connections.I just built myne and powered on brilliant.

Have to attached 20 or 24 pin power supply?

Are you sure it is all connected correctly?

Are you sure power on button etc is connected in right order?

Did you use new RAM/Memory?

What are the specifications of your new build?

Are the fans connnected to mother board or main power supply?

Could you post any clear pictures of inside your pc?As pictures would give us a clear knowledge of how it is setup?

EDIT:sorry Gandalf didnt see you there.

Your computer is plugged into an AC power source...Yes?
Remove the AC plug and connect something like a lamp or radio to verify that the AC source actually works.
If the "lamp" doesn't work, then check the circuit breaker.

well in theory it should boot but not post without a gfx card. You should get a series of beeps.Seeing as this is a home build I would carefully go through your motherboard manual to ensure you have not made any errors.
Are you sure you wired the switches correctly to the case buttons?

My computer powered on without graphics card installed. However like Zinglebar said you would not see a post screen if you do not have a GPU fitted.

Are the fans spinning?
Is the power light on?
Is CPU fan spinning?

Make sure everything is plugged in securly.
Your computer specifications posted here could help the issue?
