My Question is, is a 650 w power supply enough to power 2 oc'd 8800 gts 512's a core2duo e6850, 200gb hard drive, asus p5n32-e, 3gb's of 800mhz ram and a couple of fans. I've done Power Supply Unit calculators which say i will be alright but i just want to know what you experts say. Thanks

Hi,

I think you will just about get away with that Power Supply Unit. Personally I would suggest a more powerful PSU (850w or even better 1000w) would be a good investment on your part.

It probably would, but I doubt you would get very stable voltages from that brand. I would buy a better non-value brand such as Corsair, Enermax, Seasonic etc. A Power Supply Unit should not be skimped on, as if it fails you do not want it taking out other components with it

You will probably be looking at around £100 for a good quality 850W Power Supply Unit.

i had an 850 antec truepower quattro, but it made a screeching noise that alternated in pitch, then i realised that my graphics card was hissing, do you think that Power Supply Unit could have damaged it?
