Heya Joel,

I believe it is to have a front panel power/sleep button. I'm assuming you're talking about the wires that come from your front panel and not actually the wires that come from your power supply. If it's from your power supply, I have no clue what it is or why the cable would even be labeled.

Either way, if your motherboard doesn't have a header for that type of connector, then it just means you won't be able to use it. If it is a header cable for a front panel sleep button, then it is an unnecessary function.

Again, I'm not 100% sure on this, but the only thing you NEED from your front panel headers is the power switch itself. The hard drive light, reset switch, power light, etc. are all nice to have, but not necessary.

Hope that helps!
