PSU is not usually hard-- but buy a good maker.
You've been inside the case...?
Look up at the top-- in the rear-- the box where all the cables originate.
On a "Standard" PC-- there's usually 4 screws holding it... Gateway? not sure.
If you do decide to go for it--you are lucky-- you're in the US
Newegg.com is great. They have user ratings for everything. Read reviews.
Be sure to check the dimensions of the
PSU --easiest way is to remove the old one and measure Ht+Wd+Depth. on the box itself. Then when you choose one-- go to the makers website for dimensions on it. MOST will fit-- but there can be variations.
