Default Antec True Power Quattro 850 W

Ok got a good computer, but it always made a high pitched screeching noise, it spooled in and out especialy when booting the pc up. The sound would go away when the side panel was taken off. It started to get lousder, and the pc would start to turn on by itself. Dont know if this is related but when i would go onto s1 &s3 suspend stand by when the power button was pressed (which used to bring it back from standby) the pc just turned off. So anyway i sent the pc back to the shop, they said they did not hear anything, side panel off or on, they also tried heating it up. Anyway, got it back for a week and one day i turned it on, and the pc went beeeeeeeeeep, a very audible noise. I phoned the pc shop and put the phone up to the pc, to the reply of "its the Power Supply Unit". They replace the Power Supply Unit but i still get the noise, not as loud or present as much, a bit like when i first got the pc. It annoyes the **** out of me and im also scared that the Power Supply Unit will again one day go make the huge noise when i turn it on (the one that went beeeeeeeep)-which i still do know what was. So i need some info and advice is it something to do with the eletrics in ma house, i doubt its ma motherboard cos ive had 2 and the sound was present both times, not any of the fans either, the sounds clearly coming from the Power Supply Unit. PLease help

Howdy Derekjerry

This is not a PSU problem. more like a ram issue..Can you pinpoint where the sound is coming from? Like the hard drives? The dvd rom etc..

Download memtest and run it it will tell you if there are any errors..

as for the beep its ok for one beep. That means everything is ok.

well i would love to believe its not a Power Supply Unit problem but if i put my ear up to the Power Supply Unit it definately is coming from it, il try the test out anyway and report back, thanks for your reply, and also the beep was more of a beeeuuuupp, lol it wasnt like the normal one, sounded different anyway

memory is fine Has anyone got a clue?, remember this is a new power supply that has made the noise, does anyone own the true power quattro 850, does theirs do the same? Maybe its a compatibility issue, other specs are :

Core2duo e6850 3ghz
Nivida 8800 Ultra XFX Extreme Edition
ASUS P5N32-E SLI Plus Motherboard
2 gb Black Dragon 800mhz gaming ram
