Okay, the red arrows freak me out but I want to make sure if there's nothing to be concerned about, my fan rpms seem a tad high so I think my PC may be getting too hot, I'm naturally paranoid about this stuff and want to make sure that this is normal, is it?

It just means it's increasing, nothing more. i.e. if you're suddenly accessing the drive a lot, it'll start to heat up as it's working harder, and thus the arrow will turn red+upwards.

I wouldn't worry about it.. HDs generally require very little maintenance/airflow.. just make sure there's a bit of air moving around it and it'll be happy
