Alright, we'll leave that as a last resort then (in which case you'll need to have it sent to the shop).

Do you ever get a message such as "Windows has just recovered from a serious error" when rebooting the computer? If so, please go here:

I find about 4 event id's under 1001, one of which appears to be a system failure after a windows defender scan. I'll see if I can find anything else.
EDIT: The only other system event under 1001 was the startup repair, and it seems to have worked correctly.
I'll disable defender scans and see how it goes.

Dumpfiles are examined by using a tool called "Windows Debugging Tools." Information may be found here:
