Multiple problems: hard drive, PSU/mainboard, spyware all in one hit!!
Hey,
I wasn't sure where to post this problem so I just dumped it here.
I was fixing songs on my iPod with iTunes and suddenly I get hit with spyware which causes Internet Explorer to spam me with pages and ultimately freezes the computer. I reboot it but the computer only reaches the Windows XP loading screen and then restarts itself. This happens three times so I turn it off and attempt to boot it from this harddrive which I am using at the moment to type this, as I believed it must be a problem with the spyware I came in contact with. I am able to access everything fine except for the original harddrive. It didn't allow me to open the drive from "My Computer", giving me something along the lines of "Error: Drive cannot be opened." So then I turned it off normally, removed the extra harddrive and reconnect everything the way it was. Now it won't even start, no lights, no sounds, absolutely no power at all. I can't even get the first beep let alone access to BIOS.
Please help, the files on that harddrive are of utmost importance to my work and future career. Is there anything I can do to save them?
Thank-you
