PSU and Overheating Issues - Start up posted in the Hardware forums; i took out the dvd drive the hard drive video card 1 stick of Ram and it still shut off...

Has to be either the RAM due to incompatability or the power supply may have issues. But I'm leaning towards the RAM

No we can't test it with out the RAM do you have a spare power supply you could borow or try?

It won't boot without working RAM
The first thing your PC does at boot is a POST (Power-on-self test)
which checks all the hardware for function... this why compatibilty is so important.

well i do have one this computer but i don't know if i fell comfortable swapping them.
but if i took it to a computer place could they easily tell me which one it was
