No, these fans will normally screw to vents that you currently have on your PC, depending on your PC. If it is a custom built PC, it will normally have area's at the back and the front where you can screw these fans into place. The fans can connect either to fan sockets on your motherboard or using the same 4 pin power connect you use to connect to your CD-ROM.
If your happy with your PC, then there's no real point in buying a new PC for the sake of a couple of fans that only cost a couple of quid! Also, if you descide to move your HDD from your current PC, into your new one, it will need to be installed as an additional HDD. You won't be able to boot to Windows from the same disk without re-installing Windows. Windows will only work on the motherboard hardware it was originally installed on.
I will try putting a couple of fans in first and see if that makes a difference.
prob still get new pc in new year though.
hey folks i installed a new cpu fan (frustratingly.... wouldnt come off..**** thing...or go back on)
but got there in end installed a pci exhaust too...
Great work Mac, much better. Have you tried stressing you PC out to see how high you can get those temps up to? I can't imagine you'll have any problems now.
hey.. i noticed my fan speed is nowhere near the max..is there any way to speed it up and make cooler...or does it do it automatically whenever cpu heats up?
