Default few questions.. thanks

hey guys.. i currently have in the mail a inno3d nvidia 8800gts 320mb overclocked card, which soon should be in my deadly grip. i have a few concearns though.

this is a totally new computer with a SHAW '600watt' (note, inverted commas) Power Supply Unit. would this Power Supply Unit be enough?
the reason i ask is because lately when i scroll up and down web pages or do somthing that requires the computer to work i hear the rpm on the case fan drop, only a little but the speed drops, it worries me because of power drops and spikes... is this power loss underload normal?
also when the computer is booting up or under immense load, say it has had all the ram used and i goto shut the ram using applications down i hear the computer make a noise somthing like a train going through a tunnel, i high pitched squeal, it is not loud but ya can definatly hear it. could that be Power Supply Unit loading up? memory stressing? HDD searching?

i had a look in pcwizard program and it says this about the rails.
+3v=3.34
+5v=5.52
+12v= 12.15

These guys know their stuff-- and Shaw is on the "not recommended" list-- I saw several other negative reviews as well.

yeah i have heard bad things about SHAW psus. that sound definetly indicates a faulty psu. if you need to get a new one, for your setup i would probably reccomend a Enermax Liberty 500watt, a Antec Truepower, or an OCZ model.

That's why a really cheap Power-Supply... is just that--cheap. Voltage regulation-- and efficiency-- are the reasons for having a regulated power-source in the first place.
The better companies use better components/quality control-- and if you ever do have a problem (unlikely -- but it does happen) They Replace the unit-- with no trouble. They backup their products.
