Default Gfx Card - PSU Help

I've got a new PC, which has been custom made by my cousin. Specs of relevence are:
GeForce6100SM-M Mother board
400W PSU
20.1" V7 LCD Monitor

I'm looking to upgrade my vid card, as the inbuilt one is, of course, ****

I found a GeForce 8600GT SLI 512mb one, for £93, which I like. I requires a 350w min psu, but is my 400w psu able to run it? It's a new one, I know that. My computer isn't heavily laden at all, so I presumed it would run fine, but there's no harm in checking.

I'm happy to go to a 256mb card, if the performance would, some what, be better on my computer. I'm not a hardcore gamer, just an average teenage gamer. My games consist of:
Battlefield 2
Battlefield 2142
Counter Strike:Source
Battlefield series
MS Flight Sim 2004

Those are probably my most resource needing games.

Thanks in adavanced,
Chris...
