Default Laptop Shutdowns.

Yay, finally nice to be back on the forum but i have a really annoying problem at the moment. My laptop is constantly shutting itself down when i run intensive programs, too many programs, have more than run web browser(so i cant use tabs) and pretty much just anything that makes it work hard. Im guessing its an overheat problem but am not 100% sure. I am looking to get a macbook soon but would still like to solve this in the mean time, and i could also sell it then. So how can i fix this if it is even something i can fix manually.? Help much appreciated.

Aj

Welcome back ajspurs

First step would be to find out if there are any application log entries after your computer restarts.
To find this out, make it restart, when it gets back into windows, right click on My Computer and select Manage.
This will bring up Computer Management, where you can select Event Viewer under System Tools. This will give you 3 sets of logs. Application, Security and System.

Check both Application and System for big red Xs around the time that your computer restarted.
