Just upgraded my power supply to a seasonic 650W
PSU cuz my 400W ultra was at 55C accroding to SpeedFan
upgrading should of fixed the temp, plus I added a new rear fan. but new
PSU is still at same temp. HOT at 56C during game play
system:
Pentium D 2.8ghz w/ ultra pure copper tunnel heatsink + fan
nvidia 7800gs agp
creative labs sound blaster X-Fi platinum w/ front rack mount
2 sticks of 1 gig sd
ram @ 3200
SATA Western digital 320gig HD 8x
LG 18x dvd burner
20" wide screen samsung monitor
I have a dedicated rear fan to the nvidia card that sits in pci slot (doesnt connect to
mobo)
and another rear fan inbetween
PSU and
CPU (heatsink)
think thats it
PSU sites say I only require a 550Watt
PSU to run what I have. I have a 650W top of line Nvidia SLI compatable
PSU, and still running hot
any help?
thanks
