Default Help with psu.

I was playing css last night, and then all of a sudden my mouse starts to go off and on, then i went to my usb port and reconnected it, then i notice that nothing works anymore..... so the first thing i can think of is to restart my computer, it restarts fine but none of by usb ports work, so i go reconnect everything, i restart once again and it doesnt work, i then went to try to clear out cmos, and right there i notice that i dont even have a cmos jumper in there....... in which it was really strange, because i have no memory of ever taking it out. Once i see that there is nothing i can do (it was like 2 am in the morning) I then went to sleep..

I wake up in the morning, and i lost complete power of my computer, nothing was turning on. I then went to the store and bought a cmos jumper thinking that it would make my pc run again. I got home put it in, and no luck. I then went and disconnected everything that had to do with the psu, and connected it back. Once again i try to start my computer, and had no luck. Right now i am trying to decide what i should buy to make my pc run... I was first thinking its my motherboard that is messed up because of the usb, but now im thinking its the psu. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys

Assuming your PSU is working (the fan's moving) then it's either the motherboard that's failed or your VGA card. If the hard disk isn't making any noise then it's the motherboard I think.

First thing to do would be to test the PSU, ask the computer shop if they can lend you an ATX PSU tester or test it for you, or, if you don't mind risking it 'jump' the psu (while it is plugged into NOTHING) and see if the psu fan spins up.

If you test the psu and it's dead, obviously new PSU otherwise it may be the motherboard, if it's the motherboard it's just a case of what else is dead.
