I'm not up to date anymore I've only got a DDR board, not DDR2
oh well, it runs everything i could ever want it to at present..just need my r600, and i'll be set for another 6 months or so before i decide to get a quadcore setup.

I don't think the s939's supported anything more than DDR.
AM2 is socket 939, and DDR2

what happens if there's a power surge.. and you're on a tight PSU capacity..?
If you're not paranoid like Lebo, and you don't have a UPS with surge protection It will send a spike of power through the power supply with the potention to overcharge any piece of hardware in your computer and fry it. It's happened to me before

10%...maybe? I don't bother overclocking...it is never noticable unless you push it hard enough to reduce the life of your CPU down dramatically.

don't think that is right, it has different connectors for different devices, it'd never blow anything. from what i understand the psu bumps up the power as and when is needed, so if your not utilising it all it just idles.

Sounds nice, does it use the same socket as the 4600? If so I'll grab the 4600 for now sicne you can pick it up for £65-70 and upgrade later when the price of the quad tumbles because the new 2698988561215616 core AMD with 18gb cache comes out
