Default Help...My Computer Shuts Down Automatically!!!

Hello friends

Nowadays, my computer shuts down automatically when I keep it on for some time. But when I switch it on after some time, it starts working fine again. But then it shuts down again. This happens a lot of time.

Please tell me what the problem could be possibly and what should I do to correct it.

Thanks

Welcome to PCHF

I see you have posted this in the PSU and Overheating Issues forum, do you have reason to suspect that these may be the cause of your problems?

Hi Alec,

Welcome to PCHF. Does it completely shut off, or does it go into standby? You can alter your power settings from My Computer, Control Panel, Power Options. Some settings can also be found in the same menu in your BIOS (normally F1, F2 or [DEL]) when you switch on your PC.
