Roughly how long after working in Windows does it crash and come up with the DISK BOOT error?

Edit: Thread merged, issues related.

What kind of Hard drive are you using? It may be the disk. You can go to the vendors site and downlaod thier tools and do a thourough check of the drive

Hello everyone.

Unfortunately due to the nature of this problem...it was a hardone to track down...and without knowing the outcome of a new power supply, we won't know if it's resolved or not.

However, djfloyd has stated that he wanted a PSU that was Future Proof. Unfortauntely this is not possible. Every year your PSU drops 5% of it's total capacity...So a 1000watt psu will only be 995 the next year the year after...945.25watt - the year after...897.9875watt and so on and so forth.

Basically with technology the way it is today...you can buy a computer that will last a long time - but you can't "future proof" computers anymore...it's sad and annouying, but it's just the way of technology.

Marked as Answered.
