Hi all, I'm new to this forum and it looks great I have setup a website with affiliate links to try generate some $$$ from the internet it has been online for around a month but I'm not getting much traffic around 400 hits. I'm fairly new to website design so I have been reading optimzation articals on the internet and from what I have read the all suggest to Have a good web address mine is www.mp4direct.org have a good Title meta tags and content that blends in with all of the above. "Please give me some advice on other things I can do" . Then they suggest to get backlinks so if anyone would like to link to my site please do www.mp4direct.org If anyone has some suggestions on how to get more free traffic that advice would be much appreciated.

P.S When I started to build my website people said I would not make a dollar but they were wrong. I have Just not a lot of it yet! Please Help!. It's not just the money I'm in it for the Thrills too.

Hi matt, you have probably done most of this, but I'll just write what I can, some of it may help.

One of the best ways, if you haven't already to get your site ranked high in the search engines, for your keyword sand key phrases is to ensure your site has a good number of incoming links from quality sites.

Also make sure that your site reflects the keywords/key phrases that you are looking for - they should be in your title tag and in your initial paragraphs. Don't however over do it, or it will look like "keyword stuffing" and you will do more damage than good - just make sure they are there in a natural fashion.

Don't aim for the most popular keywords; you will have a much harder time achieving success. Do some analysis using a tool such as Keyword services for professional search engine optimization, and aim for keywords and key phrases for which you have a fighting chance.

Have a HTML linking directory on your site and gather links from related content sites that have a good Page Rank on that specific page your link will appear.

Google usually puts new sites at the bottom of the pile for a few months but there's nothing you can do about it, just keep getting the links.

Add links to all your pages at the bottom of the all pages

Add descriptions for all your images.

Remember to gain the best Page Rank (which will entice other webmasters to link to you) add a link to each page on your home page (at the bottom of the page as a simple text link).

It does make you feel good to see your site on the first pages.

Hi, I used the http://www.submitexpress.com/analyzer and I think the report is good should I leave my page the way it is ?. I'm not sure but I think my website has to be online for a few months before I will get a larger number of hits? Hey matt, I think your results are good, altough maybe a little too many keywords IMHO. Use the keyword optimiser to find popular keywords, such as ipod. Also try to keep them as relevent, and specific as possible. As an example, somebody searching for "hot people" would find 2/117 matches in your keywords. If they found you somewhere down google, they would probably read the description, and not see the relevency. "ipod" + "factories world wide" is very specific, and you are more likely to rank higher, probably top with these two keywords.
