webpararus,

First, download the newest version of HijackThis! from either
Bleeping Computers or
Trend Micro

Save the file to your desktop, when you run HJT make sure that you install it into it's own folder, otherwise it will install as a temp location and will not give you accurate information.

Next,
  • Open HiJackThis
  • Click on the "Config..." button on the bottom right
  • Click on the tab "Misc Tools"
  • click on "delete an NT service"
  • Copy and paste this in: lvuvc
  • Click "ok", then reboot

webparatus,

Please go Start>Run>Type Services.msc

Scroll to lvuvc

Right click
on it and choose Stop.

Then try the above again

lvuvc is not in the list

I tried the previous step and shortly after I received a fatal error (blue screen) and windows shut down then repaired itself 3x

Webparatus,

Apologies. It looks like I dropped this one. We're fine. After a bit more research that can stay. Would you mind letting me know how things are running now?

I can get another Tech to have a look at this as it seems to not be related to Malware.
