Hey,
It's Steve
I have a problem with my processor BIOS that when I start it, it requires me to press the F1 key so as to continue the boot which is at times inconveniencing so what should I do about it.

Hi,
Its not about booting its about processor stepping.

It shows "F1:BOOT" so give me a better and corresponing alternative

It shows me exactly what is below;

1801-Microcode Patch Error
Missing or invalid processor micro patch. please contact compaq computer corporation for a new ROM BIOS to support the new processor stepping.

F1: BOOT

From what I can gather either the bios chip is faulty or needs an update.

What make and model is the board?
