Default CPU Speed

After:

The first screenie was in December~ish, I formatted around February and this started happening about a month or two ago.

I reset my BIOS, reset my configuration data...and the CPU speed went back to normal but after I restarted or logged into windows, it reverted back to the crappy 1.3ghz speed.

Also, I get this "No signal detected" error. Don't know if that's related.

Hello there mercanary. Could be a couple things causing this problem. First, check to make sure that your FSB in the BIOS is set to 166Mhz (or 333Mhz depending on your BIOS). When do you get this "no signal detected" error? That sounds like it could be a clock generator problem but ive never seen one of those before. Check back when you have double checked

In the BIOS, I can't manually change it since it's grayed out but after I reset my config. data under the Advanced tab it goes back to normal but when I login to Windows, it is back to 1.3ghz.

Also, I usually get the "no signal detected" error the first/second time I boot up,....usually works the third time.

EDIT: Also, I don't know if this is relevant, but my RAM has changed as well.

Well, I checked the jumpers on my mobo and everything seems to be in order. I cleared my CMOS via the jumper, and reinstalled the battery.

So, I'll try to replace to the battery and see if it that works
