Default CPU upgrade

I recently upgraded my desktop PC's CPU, I upgraded from an Intel Celeron 2.4 GHz (478 pin).
I also have an old Toshiba Satellite 1800-712 laptop, the toshiba has an Intel Celeron 1.1 GHZ CPU. My question is, can I use the 2.4 GHz CPU in the laptop? Or do they use different standards?

Thanks

I'm not 100% sure but I'm about 95% certain that you can't. By nature, CPUs for desktops are designed bigger than laptop CPUs, especially with the heatsink/fan. Because of the small size of laptops, their CPUs are designed smaller.
I'm sure someone else will tell you for certain, but that's the way I see it.

You can upgrade a laptop CPU though, I've recently swapped the 2.0Ghz Core2 in my laptop for a faster 2.4Ghz Core2
