When i see like a 2ghz dual core processor, does this mean that EACH core runs at 2ghz, so its effectivly the same as a 4ghz single core processor.

Orrrr, is that the total speed of the dual core cpu and each core runs at 1ghz each.

Wow, thats really impressive, so a 3ghz quad core is like a 12ghz singe, or am i just being silly lol
