Processor/CPU - What socket is this? posted in the Hardware forums; This is a Intel Pentium that I salvaged from my old AST Ascentia. What socket is it? The sockets are the two tan slots....

Default What socket is this?

This is a Intel Pentium that I salvaged from my old AST Ascentia. What socket is it? The sockets are the two tan slots.

Hi it looks like a after market socket for a laptop is this CPU out of a laptop?

To the right person yes but it is rare for this type of CPU to fail I don't know how much demand there is for it
