Hi i just got a Phenom(tm) 9600 Quad-Core Processor 2.3 it was rated 14.60ghz but ive just got things sorted and now its only rated at 5.85 why is this ..has some of the cores mucked up... please help ive been wating for this pc for a while now....thanks

Please elaborate on what the following means
What have you done?

the most he should be getting is 9.2GHz where are you getting 14 from,
using a quad processor, 4 cores at 2.3 each
so rates at 9.2.
did you know that the Phenom(tm) 9600 Quad-Core Processor 2.3 has bugs that need to be fixed also it may be compatability issues if you are using an AMD board.the higher spec ones have been delayed on release untill march.

well i got a Phenom(tm) 9600 Quad-Core Processor 2.3 at xmas and a
ASROCK motherboard ALiveNF7G HD720pR5.0 Whixh is for the Phenom thats when system requirements lab said it was a 2.3 quad core rated at 14.60.. but the motherboard was broke . so i gott one the other day got it working fine but it says its only around a 6ghz ive lossed 8ghz i dont under stand its still the same CPU ..?? lol could it be the motherboard as it is a newer model and looks diff it says it is running all 4 processors.. but it seems to run fast .. AND WHAT BUGS DOES IT HAVE AND HOW CAN I FIX THEM. thanks

Did you replace the motherboard with the exact same one?
What lab gave these ratings?
