Hi marneros, it's most certainly possible to upgrade your processor, but unfortunately it doesn't have Core 2 Duo support and AMD based CPU's won't work. Do you have a budget at all?

Socket 775's for your board...take your pick here: CPU-Upgrade: PC CHIPS P23G(V1.0) cpu support and features but make sure you upgrade your bios here: http://www.pcchips.com.tw/PCCWeb/Pro...etailName=BIOS before attempting an upgrade.

If your looking to upgrade your computer so it runs better, i recommend these parts. These are some of the best parts you can get that will work with your motherboard, for maximum performance.

EVGA 256-A8-N542-T2 GeForce 7600GS 256MB 128-bit GDDR2 AGP 4X/8X Video Card - Retail

Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound - OEM

CORSAIR ValueSelect 2GB (2 x 1GB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400 (PC 3200) Desktop Memory Model VS2GBKIT400C3 - Retail

Intel Pentium D 935 Presler 3.2GHz LGA 775 95W Dual-Core Processor Model BX80553935 - Retail

ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 7 Pro 92mm CPU Cooler - Retail (not necessary, but i highly recommend it, as Pentium Ds run VERY hot using stock cooling)
