Thanks a lot everybody,

I will mess around with the wiring in my case to see if I can distribute the power more evenly through the different power cables.

If this does not help, I will buy a more powerful power supply unit.

unfortunately, that will not help. the power cables have no effect. the problem lies with the AC/DC converters. The +12V "rail" is the components in the PSU that supply 12V power to all the cables. you can try, but i wouldnt expect anything to come of it

Hey everybody, so I bought a new 550 Watt powersupply and removed one of my hard drives. So I have much more available power than I am using. Also, the temperatures stay below 45oC for my cpu and gpu.

My computer is still resetting during 3D gaming. It seemingly happens at random, as it went two days without losing power, but now it is restarting after about 30 minutes of playtime.

I am thinking of putting in my old cpu and see if it still crashes. I bought silicone based thermal paste. Will that be efficient to put on the heat sink?
