Processor/CPU - [Answered] cpu temp help! posted in the Hardware forums; im running the intel dual core proccessor on the abit al8 motherboard and does anybody know the when its running temps? like what temp is to high for it?...

hey mad monkey ummm by speed do u mean how many ghz, cause if u are then its 2.8 but since its dual core im guessing its a total of 5.4 ghz then

ahh, you mean core 2 duo? well ive got the core2duo e6850 (2x3ghz) mine runs safely at around 30-35 degrees most of the time, thats with the standard intel fan.

Hey guys,

The maximum temperature of that CPU is 63°C. Derek's is a little higher at 69°C.

Ideally, the temperature should always be 20-30°C below it's maximum, so Derek's temperature for example is lovely and cool.

Lol I had my older Intel Pentium 4 Prescott once running at 70 (!!!) degrees for a while =O
