Default [Resolved] Intel CPU uCode Error

Hello.

Today I installed a LGA775 Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 into an ASUS P5B Deluxe WiFi/AP Edition motherboard. When I boot up, everything works fine, but I first am forced to press F1 to confirm that I acknowledge a "CPU uCode Error." Like I said, as far as I can tell (only tried a Ubuntu Live CD so far), this doesn't really affect performance. I just want to know what could cause this and how it can be resolved.

Thanks!
Rodents210

I have to mention that I have not updated the BIOS yet (I've planned to, but while I was here getting it, I figured I'd post). I also read that it's because the motherboard doesn't recognize the model of CPU I'm using, but the BIOS properly identifies everything about it.

I don't really know anything about this, but you could have gotten a CPU that has a corrupted Register and the ucode is messed up. But I really don't know anything about this. Find a way to see if you can contact Intel.

Whoops!

I forgot to post that the BIOS update (which was necessary anyway) did away with the uCode error. Marked as [Resolved].
